Same Day Edit – Keshia ‘ J.C. (San Diego, CA)

Posting this wedding all the way from San Diego, California!

First some tidbits about the day: Being a Hawaii resident, I had no idea where the heck I was going when driving around SoCal. It’s a good thing I had James Pizarro from our sister company red Bicycle Media with me. Not even 2 weeks after we filmed a wedding in Hawaii, he caught wind of me covering a full wedding alone in California and flew out ALL THE WAY FROM OHIO to help. Thanks again for that bro! I couldn’t have pulled off the SDE to this level solo :). Now with the help of our phones giving us directions and James’ excellent navigational skills (lol), we were able to make each location punctually.

Now fast forward to the reception and SDE showing time. We almost did not get to show this piece. It wasn’t a question of being done, I was done editing it quite early, it was the fact of some weird equipment issues. We usually use our own projectors as we can trust them and know what it takes to project with them, but we were at the mercy of the DJ’s projector, which needless to say gave us quite a few headaches. We ended up figuring out a solution, with the help of Keshia’s brother Nick who saved the day by driving to an electronics store MID RECEPTION, and we were able to show the SDE at the end of the night. Whew…..It was a great recap to a wonderful day.

To Keshia and J.C. : You were such a joy to work with, CCm was proud to be your cinematographers for that day (even though the MC kept calling us your wedding videographers, lol). It was a joy to film your wedding day and be a part of it. Congratulations!

ps. For you eagle eyed viewers of my blog, Keshia’s name is spelled K-E-S-H-I-A, not K-E-I-S-H-A. ;)

Enjoy their SDE :

Premium Same Day Edit – Katrina ‘ Ryan (Honolulu, HI)

FIRST WEDDING OF THE YEAR!

Katrina and Ryan were quite the opposite of each other, her being more relaxed and him being more of the serious type. Their union really proves the adage, opposites attract. They had their ceremony at a beautiful and intimate church right in the middle of chinatown and had a grand reception at the Dole Cannery Ballrooms. A big highlight of the night was Katrina and Ryan’s SURPRISE first dance performance! During the interviews, Ryan spoke of how Katrina inspired him to be more artistic and more creative. Her impact on him was quite apparent with the awesome standing ovation they received at the end of their dance.

I had the pleasure of having a few superstars shoot with me on this wedding. James Pizarro from my sister studio on the east coast, red Bicycle Media, along with Bruce Patterson from the award winning Cloud Nine Creative lent a hand during the reception while I cut the P.SDE. Special shout out to Joel Courtenay for all his help throughout the day as well.

ENJOY!
